I am Angelieque! Founder of Set & Social.
After years of moving for work and building experiences in hospitality and design, I created Set & Social to bring people together in a more intentional, human way - rooted in connection, inclusivity, and community.
About the Founder
Set & Social began as a quiet idea, one shaped by years of moving, starting over, and searching for genuine connection. After living in Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Jersey, and New York, I eventually found my way to Miami. Each move brought opportunity, but also the familiar challenge of rebuilding community and finding spaces that truly felt welcoming.

Miami offered a sense of peace, but it also revealed a deeper need for connection that felt intentional, grounded, and human. I have met countless others who felt the same way: locals and newcomers alike craving something more meaningful than the typical social scene.

With a background in hospitality and experience driven spaces, Set & Social grew from a simple realization: the kind of connection I was searching for personally was the same thing I had spent years creating professionally.
Spaces designed for comfort, presence, and real conversation, not performance.

Set & Social is not about networking or exclusivity. It’s about shared tables, thoughtfully curated experiences, and conversations that unfold naturally.
It’s a community for locals, professionals, newcomers, and the LGBTQ+ community. It is for anyone seeking a place to belong without pretense.

Set and Social
Set & Social began with a simple belief: community is built through genuine connection. Miami is a city of contrasts - long‑time residents and newcomers, artists and entrepreneurs, LGBTQ+ individuals and allies - yet many of us still feel isolated in the crowd. We created Set & Social to change that.

Our founder moved to Miami searching for creative collaboration and meaningful friendships. After attending countless events that felt like mixers rather than moments of connection, they realized the city needed a space where people could show up as themselves. With a small group of friends and a shared passion for intentional living, Set & Social was born.

Our Mission
To cultivate an inclusive community where locals, transplants, creatives and LGBTQ+ folks can come together, support one another and experience Miami in a more authentic way. We strive to provide safe, welcoming spaces - online and off—where people of all backgrounds feel they belong.

Our Culinary Philosophy
Food is central to how people connect, so every Set & Social event includes a thoughtfully curated dining experience. Rather than meeting at a restaurant and ordering separately, we collaborate directly with local chefs who design menus that complement the theme of each gathering - whether it’s a sit‑down dinner, finger‑food soirée or an open‑bar cocktail party. This approach keeps the cost predictable for attendees, supports Miami’s culinary talent and allows everyone to share the same experience while socialising. We’re not tied to any specific restaurants or lounges; instead, we curate environments that encourage conversation and create shared memories over delicious food and drinks.

While we come from different backgrounds and professions, we’re united by a desire to foster meaningful connections. Each of us contributes our unique skills - whether it’s curating menus with local chefs, designing inclusive events, building community partnerships or simply making sure everyone feels welcome.
